Payment and Delivery

Payment

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Major Credit cards
  • PayPal

We can also take credit card payments over the phone. Please email customerservice@hellobabydirect.co.uk to request a callback or leave a message on +44 (0)20 80997445.

We do not store any credit card details and all payment are securely taken through SagePay, PayPal or Google Checkout. Credit card processing on the Hello Baby site is managed through SagePay giving your data 100% security.

UK Mainland and Northern Ireland Delivery

Delivery time

Items below 2kg are usually dispatched within 24 to 48 hours of payment by Royal Mail. Once posted, the standard shipping times are 2-5 working days for UK. Please note that once and item is posted we have no control over postage times and deliveries can be delayed (see note on delayed deliveries below).

Larger items such as prams and nursery furniture are usually dispatched dispatched with 48 hours by courier and usually take 2-5 working days to delivery (see exceptions below). If you are not in when an item is delivered the courier/postman should leave a note for your to rearrange delivery.

Please note the following delivery timescales

  • Tutti Bambini room sets: allow 4-6 weeks
  • Izziwotnot furniture: allow 4-6 weeks
  • Little Tikes products: allow 2-3 weeks

You will receive notification by email when your item has been dispatched. This email will contain tracking details if available.

Please also note that the largest pieces of furniture such as whole room sets will not be available to be delivered to off mainland UK addresses (Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands of Scotland Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man). Please check before purchasing.

Postage to the Channel Islands is also specified as a separate country at checkout. Postage prices to the Channel Islands are based on weight.

Collection?

Please note as an online retailer we do have a retail store and therefore cannot allow items to be picked up from our premises

International Delivery

Delivery time

International postage rates are based on weight. The postage cost of a particular order can be viewed by clicking on the checkout link, before committing to purchase. We regret that we cannot ship items weighing over 2kg outside mainland Europe and Turkey. Not all items can be shipped internationally, please check the item details.

Items are usually dispatched within 24 to 48 hours of payment. Once posted, international delivery times are 5-10 working days, although delivery may take longer for outlying locations. Please note that some larger items of furniture are not available for shipping internationally.

Delivery Weights outside UK

At Hello Baby we will ship items up to 30kg to the following countries

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Crotia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Leichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Morway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey

We regret that items over 2kg cannot be shipped beyond the countries listed above. Please note that not all items can be shipped outside the mainland EU.

Delayed Deliveries

Unfortunately, from time to time items can be delayed in the post. We will not give refunds or send replacements until 15 working days for UK deliveries or 25 working days for international deliveries. These are the timescales after which the Royal Mail considers an item to be lost. See more information about lost UK mail and lost international mail.

From our experience deliveries are almost always delayed due to the recipient not being a home when delivery is attempted. The delivery person will normally leave a card but unfortunately this is not always the case. We therefore suggest that before contacting us you check with member of your household and neighbours to see if they have the package or delivery card. You should also check with your local sorting office.

Shipping to BFPO addresses

BFPO addresses must be entered into the fields in our online order form in a specific format, as shown below, ensuring that the BFPO number is entered into the postcode field:

  • Full name:   Service Number, Rank, Name
  • Address line 1:   Company
  • Address line 2:   leave field blank
  • Town/City:   Regiment
  • County:   leave field blank
  • Postcode:   BFPO ### (eg: BFPO 123)
  • Country:   United Kingdom

Please note that items over 2kg cannot be shipped to BFPO addresses. If you are based in mainland EU country please use this as an alternative address.
